A holiday meme...

Blatantly stolen from Diane Duane's blog, Out of Ambit...(I stole a couple of her answers, too)

1. What's your favorite holiday movie?

The Charlie Brown Christmas movie. It is the only one I even think of watching.

2. What's your favorite holiday song (title and artist)?

Funny: I Want a Hippopotamus for Christmas as sung by Gayla Peevey
Serious: I Wonder as I Wander

3. What's the best holiday gift you were ever given and why?

Finding out I was pregnant with Alex and Marilyn. I guess that's two gifts.

4. Do you have a special someone to kiss at the stroke of midnight on New Year's?

Absolutely. Been kissing him for nearly twenty years now and have no plans to stop any time soon. (Answer stolen from DD)

5. Name your favorite reindeer

Blitzen. I just like to say Blitzen.

6. Favorite holiday food?

Used to be Buckeyes. But now that I can't eat peanut butter, I'd have to say Reno Pie.

7. Snow day -- cuddle by the fire or hand me a snowball?

No fireplace. Send the kids outside to play with snowballs and cuddle inside watching them, with the electric blanket.

8. What was your New Year's resolution from this year?

To keep the house cleaner.

Did you stick to it?

Sort of, I think the average cleanliness was higher this year than last.

9. Is there really a Santa Claus?

You mean that guy at the mall in the red suit wasn't Santa Claus? All five of him?

No, seriously, we don't tell our kids that there is a Santa Claus, but we do read about St. Nicholas, who was Bishop of Myra, and this year we put out our stockings on St. Nicholas' Day eve.

10. Present or stocking stuffer?

Uh, this sentence no verb. (Another answer stolen from DD)

Family recipe. Only Cheri calls it that; we call it "meat pie".

Hamburger, mashed potatoes, and a can of poultry seasoning. Bake in pie crust. Gravy optional.
